Steering wheel is moving by itself....

While driving home from work, I put the car in neutral and coasted to the stoplight (5 speed). As I was approaching the light, I noticed that my steering wheel was doing this jerking motion clockwise. It would move about 1-2 inches then stop and then repeat about 4 seconds later. (NO braking was done, so pads and rotors are not the problem) Maybe it has something to do with my power steering. Any suggestions??

Probably gonna be your aftermarket wheels. Have you had your car aligned since they were put on? If you don't they can cause a lot of problems. Also check to make sure your tie rod ends are ok to. Just go outside and grab your tire at 3 o clock and 9 o clock and try to move it back and forth. If it move's then they are going bad and will cause steering slack. Check fix. Easy to do but NEED to be aligned after installed.

I agree with 95blackGsTurbo, check the tie rods and bearings by trying to move the wheel back and forth when its jacked up.

If you have low profile tires, they tend to follow every bump and curve in the road and that feeling travles to the steering wheel.

If you actually FEEL the vibrations, then you should take your car in and get the wheels balanced.

Lastly, if none of that worked then bring it in for an alignment.

Well those two^^^ pretty much sumed it all up. Cant really say much else execpt to do what they said. Alligning it should fix the job, but also check wheel balance, those are the two main things that will go wrong and cause the effects that you described, try going on the high way, and letting go of the steering wheel if it pulls to the right or left on a relitivly flat and straight part then its probably the allignment, and if the wheel shakes some then it could be your wheels balance.
