So whenever I start it up in the mornings it is VERY rough, sometimes dies the first time i try to start it. And when it starts up, it makes this fairly loud screeching sound, which I am going to be finding out where its coming from tomorrow. Also, when idling normally at anytime, it will be idling at 1100-1400. Also, when I turn off the car it is very shakey and seems like it takes too long to die.
Background: Two days ago it just decided it would stop starting. When it died it would make the same exact screeching noise that it now makes when it starts. I figured out it was the fuel filter, however, I was thinkin it was the TPS or ISC that could have been wrong before. So i took both sensors off of the TB and inspected them to make sure nothing was wrong. I took apart the ISC to see if it was really dirty or something, but having found out it was nothing, i put it back and moved on. I replaced the fuel filter, and now the car runs great, but the idle and startup have me worrying. Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I already checked to see if the throttle cable was too tight or anything, but thats not the case. I have narrowed it down to the ISC, or at least I think its the ISC now. Hopefully i dont have to buy a new one....but I probably will if its already gone :| .

Well i tested the ISC and it was reading 38.5 across the board. I heard its supposed to be 28-30 or something, so could this be the reason my idle might be high and I have rough starts?
