Hey guys! So I recently picked up my 6 bolt block from Alamo after having it bored/honed .20 over , clearanced for the 100mm crank and assembled. I plan on using a stock head with a possibility of getting new springs and retainers for it. I am a few parts away from finishing up with just a timing belt kit, oil pump, clutch and mounts. I was definitely wanting to tune it with dsm link but saw a nice package deal at extremepsi for an apexi neo, injectors and fuel pump of your choice for under $700. Would that be a suitable set up to get. the car running or should I just save my money for dsm link, injectors and fuel pump? I have a non eprom ecu also. This is a slow build I plan on getting started around fall or so. Some more information on it: the car is a 91 eclipse gsx being built for drag/street ( work a couple miles away from home and 5 miles? Away from an 1/8th mile track) parts used so far eagle 100mm crank, Manley rods h beams, wiseco stroker pistons, balance shaft elimintator and arp bearings.[DOUBLEPOST=1408032798][/DOUBLEPOST]Thanks in advance guys! Here's a little sneak peek :)

I would skip the Neo and get ECMLink. You won't be disappointed. So many features and easy to use. You can find one with an eprom ecu in the classifieds pretty easily.

btw, I'm running a 2.3L as well....you're going to love it, your trans wont LOL

Link it is. thanks for the replies! would it be better to do the initial start up on stock injectors and fuel pump or should I go ahead with upgrading both? The car is located at my brothers house in Arkansas and we want to get it running well enough to drive where I live in Texas.

Definitely go with the DSMLink.

If you just want to start the car up and drive it home (before you get Link), definitely use the stock injectors and fuel pump. Also use the stock MAF. You shouldn't need any tuning tools to do this.

Keep the boost below around 10 or 11 psi to avoid overrunning the stock injectors, fuel pump and MAF with a 2.3 liter engine. Of coarse, you'll want to upgrade all three after you get DSMLink.

Since this is a new engine, do a boost leak test before start up. A boost leak will cause the ECU to dump in a lot of extra fuel, something you don't want to do with a new engine.
