Is there an actual hole in the manual? Or an area where u can remove spot welds? Or did uou trace a hole and cut. I have it running through the manual area.? I finally rebuilt my transfer case. finally found all the bearings aftermarket.

I sat the shifter i n place with the cable attached to get a rough idea where it went. The metal on the floor board has press marks I guess, you kinda get the idea where it goes when you set it all in. I made a cardboard template outta the shift cable bracket and lined it up then cut it out.
 
So lil update guys, transmission is built. Went with the kiggly clutch packs and translab shift kit. The diff was also welded. I also spent some time repairing a rust area i found. I welded in sheet metal, only used a skim layer of bondo to even it out. Overall im very happy. Its alot of work doing this shit correctly. I also spent two hours drilling out the flywheel dowel in the crank. It was completely seized and wouldnt come loose so I ground the dowel flat and used a machinist center drill bit and went to town with some good drill bits. Drill doctor is the shit !
