Starter problems please help!!

hey all i am getting annoyed by my 91 laser rs n/t i just recently had a ignition module problem and now this i am having problems starting my car. The starter won't click or anything. When u turn the key all u hear is a low pitch sound no clicks no nothing. i am really at a loss. I was thinking of replacing my starter relay. can anyone please help me with this problem it would be greatly appreciated.

are you sure that the problem in not in your battery or the alternator, does the starter turn at all?

no it doesn't click or anything all u hear is a low pitch sound coming from the engine compartment i tried replacing the relay and nothing has changed so i am thinking possibly bad starter or a bad ground

how do u know that you battery is not dead?

not 2 sure but i did charge the battery with a charger and it is still the same. i will try another battery and report back.
