Starter not cranking

I need help getting my starter to crank the car its a 1995 2g GST, every time i turn on the key i just hear a click coming from starter relay but nothing else, starter relay its brand new.. I tried jumping starter directly from battery and it cranks perfectly but from inside the car it wont. Any thoughts?

could have bad wire connections on the starter. try cleaning them up as well as the battery connections and see if that fixes the problem
