Ok so I have researched this for the past two nights and have found nothing that is really the same thing as what is going on with my car. The problem is when i first start up my car in the morning it will go to 2k then drop to about 1.8k then start to die off to 300 and bounce around for a second then die. It wont always die but it will always drop to 300 or so and spit an sputter then all of the sudden rise up to 2k again then 5 seconds later drop back down to 300 and it will do this for 3-5 times before idling normal and calming down. Once the spurts are over its idles like it should on a cold start-up then once the car warms up it will idle at 750-800 all day long with no problem. I am reading 16-17 vac on my gauge. On a side note i believe that i have a boost leak b/c my car runs like crap at wot and i dont have a compressor or tools at school, will the boost leak have any effect on a cold start? Thanks

Sounds like you need to get a boost leak done.If you dont have a compressor you can still check for leaks, once the car is warm and idleing normal get you spray bottle with some soap in it or a can of brake cleaner will work also and spray it everywhere there is a gasket or coupler in the intake system.ex: intake mani, fuel injectors etc.Where ever you see bubbles or if the car drops in idle its a leak.
