Cold start Problem and Stalling

I am having the same issue. How do I test the coolant sensor?

It won't start immediatly, but after about 1-2 minutes of cranking and stopping it will finally start up real rough, if I touch the throttle it will die, if I let it sit there for 5 minutes it will work fine. It has been cold lately, like 28-30 degrees.

The car started doing it last night.

I have also noticed that above 3k rpms while driving if I push the clutch in all the way and hold it there the car will fall in rpm real fast down to 500 and sometimes it will turn off.

The Blow off valve is recirculated and I don't have any boost leaks.

How do I test the coolant sensor?

Yank it out, put it into a pan of water and make it boil. If you know how to run a VOM meter, you check resistance across when cold and then hot. If resistance varies when getting hot, it's okey, but if remains steady or nothing, it's a goner.

Check your base timing. It's normal for a motor to be at 3krpms to drop suddenly when you drop the clutch. But, if timing and base idle settings are not correct, you'll have that problem. Mine, I can run at 4500, then drop the clutch and revs drop to 500 in a quick, but regain back to the factory setting of 750rpm.

It was the coolant sensor... Installed new one and both problems are fixed!
