Stall speed and blue wire questions

These are some pretty nooby questions, but I went back a few years through this forum and didn't really find the answers I'm looking for.

1. I currently have a manual setup but am converting to an auto. I currently hit about 20psi by 3500rpm and am at full boost before 4000rpm in 3rd gear. Would a 3500rpm stall converter be sufficient for launching my car?

2. Is this Automatic Transmission Boost Controller a substitute for the blue wire mod? Ie, does it work the same when turned up all the way, or is it something completely different?

Since either no one knows the answers to the above questions or they are too lazy to spend 20 seconds answering them:

1. I ordered a 3500rpm stall - we'll find out.

2. Based on the instructions for the the A/T IPT boost controller, it IS a variable blue wire mod (for people who want the blue wire mod but not all the time or in varying degrees for varying circumstances).
