srs light and sensor question

Ive noticed that when I turn my key on all the lights on the dash come on and go off except my SRS light. Last winter I removed my dash and had to unplug the airbags, but Im positive I plugged everything back in(both airbags and the srs ecu) I know if there is a fault in the SRS system the light will stay on, but does anybody know what can cause the light to not come on at all?

Also Ive noticed that some of the cars at the junkyard(most '95-96) have a small SRS airbag sensor in the front fender area. Im not sure if only the older models have this sensor, but my 97 gsx doesnt have these and I dont see any plugs around that area that the sensor would plug into. Do the 97+ cars not have this sensor then?

Hopefully someone can help me, since I hate messing with airbags.

The only thing i can help you with is to day check the fuse and also check for power. I do not like messing with those because they can be set off fairly easy. I would not worry about it.

Check that the SRS warning light illuminates when the ignition switch is in the ON position.
Check that it illuminates for approximately 7 seconds and then switches off.
If the above is not the case, check the diagnostic trouble codes.

i promise you a fix, replace the srs ecu. light will go off everytime unless u remove dash again or you get into an accident!
