The major problem I am having is that my SRS and Battery Lights in the dash never turn off. Even after the car starts they stay on the whole time. What could this mean?

. It is known for these alts to go bad so I'm positive that that's your issue
I know that on the chrysler systems the charging system is controlled by the ecm I've seen where the voltage regulator in the ecm has gone bad and thrown those lights. Try putting another ecm in it and see if that helps any.
Idk if you've tried anything yet but I had the same problem on mine and it turned out to be the alternator. That was an easy one for me being that I know electricals, AND when I went to check it with the car running, saw the damn thing smoking and sparking. The engine control module and its under the hood on the drivers side up by the airbox I believe.

Sounds like a bad chassis ground, or the alternator is starting to go.
Check your wiring, and loose connections, anything small can cause problems.
Has the car been wrecked? Could either be the spot for the bad ground, or cause for srs system malfunction.
