All right, my car's been resurrected to the point in which it runs and drives decently well it seems. I'm still having some issues with it but they all seem to be getting to the point of getting taken care of. One of my biggest issues with the vehicle now is that it squeaks and rattles quite a bit while driving. This car sat for a while like 10 plus years. What are some parts that I can start changing out that will start making it ride smoother and sound quieter? I assume like control arms, mounts where the rubber has deteriorated and such like that. But I don't know where I should start. Thank you!

All your suspension and subframe bushings will cause rattles and squeaks.

Sway bar links and bushings seem to be one of the most common things that cause noticeable rattling. Definitely could be other things too but I'd start there. Also if the car has polyurethane bushings/mounts those are known to squeak.

Lower ball joints are notorious for squeaking before they fail, so much so that there is a safety recall for the ball joints + transfer case output (it leaks and can lock up at highway speed).

To test them, park car on flat surface, rotate steering left and right. If they squeak, replace the lower control arm.

Sway bar endlinks are common as well, go over some speed bumps and if it knocks, replace em.

Otherwise as an above poster said basically any bushings, top hats, strut mounts etc can cause it. Go around the car and push down and rock it and start tracking down noises.
