2G 2g eclipse questions

I just bought a 97 gst eclipse with a good motor and trans but the body of the car is rusted beyond repair. Was planning to swap motor and trans into a different body wondering if the wiring harness would be different between a 95-96 and 97-99 eclipse at all or if I could buy a 95-96 body and swap motor and trans without trouble?

Thanks I figured they would be the same bust wasn't 100 percent sure and didn't feel like swapping a motor in and then having to pull the whole inside of the car apart to swap a harness

If you are swapping the motor into a 95-96 body you will need to do a CAS conversion. The 97-99 CAS is not interchangeable with the 95-96 harness. You could also run a 1g CAS.

Small differences. Nothing that would require a harness swap etc.
