Hey i have 97 Spyder GS with turbo.. had a friend baught a 97 GST ecu outta the blue. i connected it and it cranks but wont turn on..

i know there some rewiring to do but my real question is it really necessary that i put a gst ecu over the stock gs one i have now...

what improvements will i get from it and what is recommended that i should do:hellyeah:

You need to rewire the Fuel Pump Module.

Spyders output +5v to turn pump on.

Turbos pull to ground to turn pump on.

You will have better timing maps with the turbo ecu.
The Spyder ecu will give to much timing to run any significant amount of boost.

With a turbo ecu can use a set of 450 injectors with no extra fuel management.

The Spyder ecu may have Fuel Cut set pretty low, but I'm not 100% sure about that.
