Lubrication failure is what destroys bearings. Lost pressure in a corner, insufficient supply at high revs, or mechanical damage from out-of-spec tolerances or excessive G loads can all lead to bearing failure. And, damage that occured five years ago may only now have progressed to the point of failure. Mechanicals don't heal, they just start wearing incorrectly.nightspeed87 said:Normally bearing failure is from low oil pressure right? I have removed balance shafts so I know that greatly raises oil pressure
will this help defend against future oil pump/ bearing wear since there is more oil pressure in the engine?
