I'm driving and my speed-o-meter quits working. Then if i go above 4.5k rpms it shoots up to whatever speed i'm at. Also my SAFC says that i'm at 100% Throttle when my foots not even on the accelerator.. And when i am accelerating is just jumps around randomly...
WTF
Also the idle is surging from around 800 rpms to 1600 rpms at a dead stop...

I don't know why everything on my car is starting to crap out but it's i don't know if my wallet or patience can handle it much more. :|

Any idea's or words of advice guys?

:toobad::beatentodeath::toobad:

Maybe your car wants something. Have you washed it in a while.

Well it has been about 2 weeks... :coy:

Start by checking the TPS with a OHM meter or pocket logger.

And i'm working on getting my pocketlogger registered as we speak.. waiting for the company to send me the registration code..

Where and how?

Also what's the point of checking the voltage on the TPS? Just to see if it's went bad or something?

The voltage will tell you if it thinks it is open (WOT) all the time, or if it is functioning properly.

The rule of thumb for a tp sensor is that at idle it should be less than a volt and a W.O.T it should be around 5 volts if it gets stuck anywhere in the middle its bad! Also check your idle speed control valve by using a 6 volt battery and connect the positive leads of the jumper wires to terminals 2 and 5 and the negative jumper leads to terminals 3 and 6 if it doesn't move it's bad.:D

My TPS was at 4.8 at idle and when i kept it around 3.5k it would go down to around 3.8 volts....

Also i just went out there and looked around. My intake pipe came loose from the compressor housing and the TPS harness seemed like a came loose off of the throttle body...
Could that be the solution?

I'm gonna let Veronica cool down a little and then tighten that intake pipe back on and give her another go. Hopefully that's all that was wrong!

EDIT: the TPS harness being loose was the problem! but i'm still not getting any boost.. i guess it's time for a Boost Leak Test tomorrow eh? :|

Where's that located?

EDIT: I just found a thread on it after about 30 minutes of searching. :thumb:

I went out there and pushed down on the sensor and it seemed snug in there so i'm not exactly sure why my speed-o-meter isn't work all the time. Sometimes is will and others it won't...

Could it be the gear on the end of it beginning to become worn?
