For weeks now, no matter how I adjust my throttle cable tension, its not possible to get it where it should be at. If I make it tight enough to hit 100% throttle, the cable is so tight that it idles at 1-3%. and if I adjust it so it idles at 0%, then I can't hit more then 98% throttle.

It's really starting to piss me off. The way it is now, it goes to 99.8% when the pedal is to the floor all the way, and it still idles at 1%, unless I mash the gas down for a split second, they it goes to between 0.2 and 0.8%. And for me to be able to hit 99.8%, the cable is so tight that there is no slack what so ever.

It's just beyond me, how the cable won't open the throttle body properly.

i think thats pretty much normal... my car does the same. how are you determining the throttle position? SAFC, logger? i read on pocketloggers site that 99% of cars will not ever read or really be 100% open, its just how it is

well, the rubber stopper has long been all the way to the floor, when i said to the floor, i ment pedal touching the floor itself.
and iv been reading mt tps signal off my safc, the logger actually reads 100% sooner then the afc, afc reads high 90s hen logger reads 100%

i figured out what it was though, my throttle cable wasnt ran in a good place. leftove istakes from the incompetitant mechanics at the shop that installed my engine. not i have to take the cable off and re run it, because the cruise control cable is run through and kind of around the throttle cable itself.
i assume the cable shoul;d run along the irewall, behind the intake mani, correct me if im wrong

If you got some jacked up, aftermarket fast and the furious pedals that fit like crap, I would remove them before any other attempts at adjusting are made. Make sure you floormat isn't in the way either. I see this all the time at the Mitsu dealership where I work. I don't know where you are getting your percentage ratings at but as long as your TP sensor is set correctly, the computer will know by the voltage it sees and you will be at wide open throttle. The 2 percent or so you are speaking of isn't worth worrying yourself over because that is probably all of the one horsepower you will see.
