I'm guessing you can't get the cable out of the middle?

Yes the cable should just slide out. It has small guide pin but nothing holds it into the actual casing besides the nut you already loosened.

its possible the cable has jammed inside the sensor due to the cable being bad. can you spin the current sensor?

im guessing your replacing it because your speedometer doesnt work?

When you spin the sensor that's attached does the speedo move? If so, cable is fine. It might be stuck on there, try give the old sensor a few taps to see if it frees up. Usually once you unscrew the cap it will come right out.
