Ok my issue is a bit different. I currently run an evo 3 and have a 2-wire speed sensor. Basically long story short I bought the car with no speed signal going to the ecu as a cheap way to remove the speed limiter. However I am now running the DSM chips with launch control based off the speed sensor. I have recconnected the speed sensor wire going to the ecu.. However my car still will not rev beyond my launch control settings. So I guess I need to know what type of signal is supposed to go to the ecu so I can see if it is getting the correct signal from my speed sensor..if not of course back track and find my issue. thanks.

The 1G DSM speed sensor is in the speedometer gauge and is a reed switch that grounds the signal from the ECU four times a revolution of the speedo cable.

Depending on which chip you got from Jeff the launch control might also look at the clutch safety switch to see if the clutch is pushed in.

I dont have a clutch switch. Its the speed sensor. Used it on the wife's car. Worked great on hers...so I am sure its a problem with mine. ok great so its a ground signal....what if I just straight ground that signal going to the ecu? what sort of effect will that have on it? thanks.
