I am going to be upgrading to the dsmlink sometime in the next couple of months and am considering converting to speed density and ditching the GM MAS. Has anyone done this and what do you think of it? I use to have a vpc/safc combo on a previous set up and it worked great. I am currently running only a MAFT. Please let me know your thoughts on what the advantages and potential issues with doing so.

P.s. i live in an area where temperature changes alot (Chicago) and do not want to/cant afford to get my car dyno tuned every few months to be in sync with the outside temperature.

Thank you

Frank

At this time DSMlnk does not support Speed Density. If you are looking for an affordable way to go Speed Density I suggest looking at the Translator Pro, my friend has it on his Evo and it works great.

well the only advantage that i can think of is lower air restriction=faster spoolup.. more air....
i live in chicago too and just converted to the speed density from full throtle but can't tell you much more than that having my car untuned... i'll let you know how it goes once i tune it

i actually went with the dsmlink now. when i had the vpc i had the sensor in the throttle body elbow and had no issues. there was actually a blank bung welded there from when i got it from buschur
