So i'm going to buy a spec stage 5 clutch, and was planing on buying the spec alum flywheel too. But i was looking on horsepowerfreaks.com and i noticed that it came with a steel flywheel. do u guys think it needs a steel one, so that would be why it come with one? or is that just some stuff, and i the alum one could still work? oh as a side note i'll be pushin something like 700hp, think the alum could handle that?

I would personally go with the steel flywheel as it is stronger than alum. Not that I think that the alum cant handle it just I would rather be safe than sorry.

Sounds like a lightened chromoly(steel) flywheel would be a better choice, I didn't look but if you have an AWD car I would stick with steel cause there hard on drivetrain parts as its is.. you may be able to get away with aluminum on FWD though :dsm:

I looked at your mod list, but I dont understand where you will be getting all those ponies from?

If you can produce that with your current set up, then go with what horsepower freaks suggests. They have quite a bit of experience with high HP cars, their supra was pushing 900 whp if memory serves me correctly.

You will never have 700hp. I dont even think Hahn Racecrafts racecar has 700hp. Step away from your car.

i must concure ^^^^ no way u got 700 even at the crank wow OMG

from what ive heard though, from peope with spec. clutches i would go with the one provided in the kit, the aluminum one is thicker then the steel one, and they dont give you new bolts, pluse its 400 exta bucks damn

I dont give a shit what your going to throw at it. You will never make 700hp. Nuff said.
