ok i just put my motor back in the my car. its a 90 gst. it starts up but has no spark to cyl.# 2&3 i have a motoguys ecu so thats ok. what would cause no spark to those two cylinders. the motor ran when taken out.

I had the same problem on mine. First thing to check is the connector at the coil pack. Mine had a dodgy clip and backed out and broke the connection and produced no spark. After reseating the connector all things were back to normal. Beyond that it'll most likey be the coil pack has gone bad. The way they are set up, they have two seperate connectors, one for 1&4 and another for 2&3. unfortunately if it's bad you gotta replace the whole thing. typically run about $100 for a new one.

Also, check the connector at the power transistor. I had mine back of a bit and it prevented cyliners 1 and 4 from firing. If the connector is securely fastened, possible causes of your problem could be the coil pack, power transistor or CAS.

my 90 plymouth laser had the same problem. it had no spark form 2 and 3 i changed the coil pack and transistor but thats was not the problem i later found out that it was the cas i got it for $300 at advanced auto but i strongly sugest for you to test the coil pack and transistor before you spend money replessing them.
