Im on my friends account here, but im about to buy a 1st Gen Talon for 250 bucks from a friend, cause he purchased a 98 GSX, its a fwd non-turbo, and i was wondering is it worth it to drop a 4g63t and just make it race car, or is it just a watse of time and money

does it have the non-turbo 4g63 or the 420a? makes a big difference

wells its a 1Gen not a 2Gen IHeartTurbo, so it either came with the N/A 4G63 or the 1.8L 4G67. If it is a N/A 4G63 then yes it would be worth to do a 4G63T swap since you picked it up for so cheap

That's why I asked which engine it has. I know the difference. I didn't know the 1.8L wasn't the 420a tho.

It has the N/A 4g63, say i swap the 4g63t how many hp can stock internals hold, it'll be mainly a track car and weekend car, so no really body kits and drop to the ground suspension

If tuned well, stock 4g63 internals have been known to hold 400hp.
