spark plugs that create 1million watts (Pulstars, pulstar, pulse) [Merged] snake oil

I will ask my dad and see if it is possible to get any results from their testing on these plugs. I know he was talking about how their engineers were testing these when they first were being made. Its amazing how if you get burned acouple of times how skeptical you can become. Like I said, am still trying to see if I can get some freebies!

Yeah, 2.7% is small, but keep in mind, this isn't the mileage gain posted by the manufacturer; they advertise 9-10%. 2.7% was the figure given by the EPA.
Showing the manufacturer's claims are outright lies and misrepresentation.
I'm not saying the plugs are the best thing out there, but I don't think the company is just spitting out bull shit so it might be worth a try.
I say the company is just spitting out bullshit.

Auto manufacturers are up against taxes and consumer demand to get every last bit of efficiency they can out of their product. If there was ten percent, or even a reliable two percent to be had from a given plug, they'd jump on the chance for such an easy gain from such a simple choice.

Give me a call when the manufacturers start accepting miracle spark plugs donated for free by the makers, as Mobil One is.

Until then, you'll be ahead to use NGKs in DSMs, and swapping them out when you throw away your still-fresh oil.

Do not waste your money.

It's a relatively new technology that will only yield 1 mpg more for cars that already get about 36mpg or better. The plugs probably aren't made on a high enough volume scale yet to warrant a change in choice of spark plugs by the auto manufacturer.

And I doubt the fact that auto manufacturers try to squeeze out every last bit of efficiency in most cases. Everything is a cost/benefit compromise. People claim slight gains in gas mileage all the time when switching out a stock air filter for a k&n filter yet auto manufacturers haven't adopted them. Look at the tires that come stock on cars as well. Half the economy cars bought today have tires that really suck when the auto manufacturer could have spent a little extra and chosen a better riding/performing tire. They cut costs in every aspect even when they could get small gains, so why would they buy into this new plug that costs five times more to them?

Did get a chance to ask last night why these aren't everywhere. I was told that the production volume right now is less than 10K a month until there becomes more of a demand.....I don't get that, but I have my father asking for hardcore testing data and will post it if I get my dirty hands on it.

They're probably too busy making Tornado intakes and gasoline magnets on the other production lines.

I can't wait for the infommercial where they use these plugs to blow holes through paper until it catches fire.

For those keen on sparkplug bullshit, here's more candy:

But don't be concerned. Any of this stuff that really does work will be grabbed up by Big Oil, and its inventors liquidated.

They're crap.

DSMs like NGK. Plain, old, cheap, copper-core, single-electrode NGKs. Your owner's manual calls for the dual-electrode EKN, but there' no payoff in using them. However, the dealer makes substantially more margin on selling them.

I always use NGK spark plugs they work the best but maybe someone should test these out and report back they look really innovative but I also thought that when I payed for platinum plugs that sucked.

i was thinking about picking myself up some..who knows maybe their claims are correct, 20,000 times more powerful than regular plugs seem hard to to believe but it's also a deal i don't wanna miss out on if they live up to their rep.:)

Guys, the claims these spark plugs are making are generally the same we see for platinum tipped plugs, and we KNOW for a FACT these plugs are JUNK in our cars. Stick with NGK plugs, BPR6ES, gapped to .028". They're the BEST plugs for our cars, as many other people will attest.

There are numerous threads about these plugs already on this site. There claims are BS, a spark plug won't do what they are claiming.

if they didn't i'd think that their customers would file false advertising lawsuits against them but i don't think they have. i understand everyone's skepticism and frankly i am skeptical as well. which is why i'm sticking to NGK's ;)

If their customers are stupid enough to believe a spark plug is going to give them a 12% increase in torque(that's 75 horsepower for an engine making 500 lb/ft of torque at 6500 rpms), they aren't smart enough to figure out they've been screwed.

Iridium plugs don't last very long in turbo applications. Just stick with what's proven.

The BPR6ES are for a mostly stock to slightly modified car. If you're pushing 18+ pounds of boost, you'll want to go with a colder plug, which are the BPR7ES. And then if you're pushing so much boost that you're blowing out the spark on the 7's, you'll go with an even colder plug - BPR8ES or BPR9ES. The higher the number, the colder the plug.
