Calgary,
Hey guys so I keep on putting new plulg wires in my car and in less than 1000kms one of them will melt. I think that it is the same one all the time too. Can someone help me out. Is it just a bad coil?? or am I the most unlucky guy on earth that has bought 4 sets of wires that were all bad. I have not been buying cheap ass wires either.

Thanks.

I dunno, you may be "the most unlucky guy on earth that...". Does it always melt in the same place on same wire? Could it be touching something that's very hot? What does the melted area look like - got a picture? Have any non-stock electrical things like CD ignition, etc?

It is really hard to take a picture of the ignition coil. That is where it keeps on melting. Whenever I hit 14-16psi it almost feels like a boost leak but it isnt. I hope you know what I mean. It will drive fine under that boost. If I drive it hard at 14-16 when it keeps on cutting out it will melt the wire where it plugs into the ignition coil. I have no idea?

You may have a cracked ignition coil. Try reving it up in the dark and watch around the coil to see if you see any electrical arcing. Then may sure the coil and wire insulator caps are wiped clean (no dirt, etc) and look again.

Time for a new coil champ! Hopefully nothing else has been fried in this process.
