Guys...

I installed my Sparco Revs this weekend. Now I am looking to get a steering wheel. The Revs are Red and have a little black.

What wheel should I get? Should I get a quick Release? Stock wheel is quite close to my knees when I get in and out of the car. I can move the seat back and get out of the car.... but I was wondering if maybe I should get a quick release (dual purpose... anti theft plus easier to get in and out).

If so will this quick release work?

DoI still also need this?

Quick release to prevent theft...think about it.

When you go to the grocery store or mall wtvr, you take off the steering wheel. Where will you put it?

If the thief already broke into your car without triggering the alarm, then i guess he's smart enough to look into the trunk or backseat for the wheel.

I guess it could be useful, but i personally wouldn't buy it, i would just get the adapter. If your knees always hit the steering wheel (so do mine) get the racing style wheels which are more oval/box shapped. My 2cents.

My car is only a track car... but I live in a condo so the car is parked in the lot that belongs to the complex (its gated so its safe) but given that its there for extended periods of time... I like the fact that I can take the wheel off and and leave it in my apartment... Also, given that my knees rub the wheel, the quick release helps me get out of the car easier.

Build a shackle for it on the floor behind the driver's seat, and padlock it down when you need to. All you can do is slow down thieves, anyway. If they take the time to look before breaking, they'll probably pass-over a car with no steering wheel, if taking the car is their intent. If they hop in and find no wheel and an alarm's going off, it might be enough to get rid of them. If they're just after the stereo and whatever else, they'll appreciate having the wheel out of the way. :|

Again... Car is a track car so, when I'm not at the track I will have the steering wheel at my house. Car has no stereo, no alarm, no nothing...

So all I'm trying to protect is them taking the car... eventhough if they are smart they will take the Sparco seats... and the electronics in the car...

And remember... my main goal is having easier access in and out of the car... those dam Sparco seats sit rather high!!!!
