I put in a SPAL 1650 main fan that is as large as the stock fan, except it is much more powerful and designed to sit right against the radiator. Combined with my SPAL 810 slimline I am getting some awesome performance from these fans.

I have dsmlink running fans all the time and this setup sucks leaves and debris up from the road against my intercooler!! I'm talking with NO ducting...it's sucking through a 2" koyo rad, a/c condensor, aftermarket tranny cooler, and 3.5" FMIC!! It amazes me. When I shut the car off the debris falls to the road. ROFL

I just put on 2 12" slim fans that I got off Ebay for 45 bucks ;) They seem to do a good job keeping the car cool but I'll have to give them the "Paper Test" :thumb:

PS Make sure that your cars not running too cold with the fans on all the time or it will never get into learn mode
 
Sweet!!!! Im ordering the FAL 220 duel 12s from Summit Racing. They put out 2500 CFM so I hope they work like yours

I dont know if they are reversable, I know you can swith the power and negitive wires and they will spin the other way but if they will make the same CFM I dunno.
I got the setup brandnew from my neighbor for free. They cost about 220 from summit. It is the EXACT same fan setup as the DSM 2G specific that is 359, the only difference is the DSM specific somes with a fancy metal bracket to mount to the radiator. I just used those HD straight plastic zip tie thingeys

Yeah I have problems at either extreme...with my fans left to ecu my temps are hot, around 210 to 215 because my tial wg is so close to the radiator. When the fans are on all the time they keep the car at 174* which is just a bit too low. However, my lo/mid trims have been tuned correctly within 5% so I don't have much to worry about there. I plan on getting a digital fan controller from Dakota Digital to dictate exactly what temps my fans come on.

Currently I have a more pressing issue. The 1650 main fan was the straw that broke my alternator's back...my stock alternator can't keep my optima yellow charged. I'm putting in a high performance alt to solve this problem.

A couple guys here in town are running both set ups and they both work great just the one you have and im getting is half the price.LOL
