Sounds like a Rollar Coaster?

So when I give any gas to my car, and it gets to around 2k in RPMs, it sounds like a rollar coaster- Like when the cart is going up the hill, you get that weird noise its really hard to explain, it what it sounds like to me .

It sounds like its coming from the top right of the engine bay when I open my hood =x

Its a M/T could it be my clutch? its been really bad latly

Yes every gear, even in neutral, I rev my engine and you can hear it.

I do not have a misfire, and my CEL is not on.

It does it in neutral, just not so loud, when in gear, its really loud,

Theres another noise there, sounds like a peice of metal vibrating and shaking, thats not the noise im talking about.. I thought that noise was my heat shield (Obviously not since its gone) but its made that noise since I've had it and im not to worried about it, should I be?

Sure, you ever heard an engine under severe detonation? It makes the most god awful racket you can imagine. The only reason I mentioned it is because I had it happen to me a few months back

It also dident start until I added Oil to my engine, my oil light came on, and I added some mobil one into it.

But I did drive it a little while with the oil light on =/

Ouch From everything I've read during my time in the 2GNT crowd, the main cause of the 420A engine boom...is starving her of oil Driving her around with that oil light on could very likely be where you went wrong. Don't take my words to heart just yet though, there are lots of other possibilities that all of us on here can come up with

If you dont know how to rebuild an engine... yes

The oil you added could have dislodged a carbon deposit and it lodged itself in the lifter...

But I did drive it a little while with the oil light on =/

that could have been enough to spin a bearing.

well lifters sound more like a ticking noise than a loud "roller coaster sound." when i had a lifter start ticking all i did was swap a 1/2 qt of auto tranny fluid with a 1/2 qt of oil on your oil change, if that doesnt work, then they make cleaner, where you pull of the valve cover and spray the lifters. lifters arent generally expensive to fix, if you spun a rod, then your lookin at something just a bit serious...

1.is it dangerous YES.
2. MAJOR MAJOR MAJOR damage you could throw a rod through the block
3.your probley looking at about 1000$ deponding on how bad the damage is
the shop or whoever dose it may have to re-grind your crank down 1-2mm and use
over size rod bearings. Or if its not too just replace the bearings.
4. driving with little to no oil in your motor causes bad oiling in the journals due to there being no oil on them and will cause a thrown bearing.
5. get it looked at by a real mechanice ASAP

Remember that noise will eacho in your motor so some times it will be hard to tell were the noise comes from

I was going to say throwout bearing. Simple yes, loud.... if it gets bad enough. It makes sounds throughout the transmission range 1First thru fifth, reverse and Neutral. They chatter bad and sound just like a roller coaster. Just a thought.
