Alright Let's see um I wanna see your setup's. Today I'm doing some welding on my strut tower bar's and where the spare tire is supposed to go. So before I take out my sub Im gonna go take a quick video of it. So I thought well hell I wanna see what other have for a sound system. So simple as it get's post a pic or even better post a video. Let the fun begin. :hellyeah:

I'll have to dig for pics of it. I'm actually pretty proud of mine! I had a $400 limit (not including the deck) and it hits effing HARD! Just wanted good sound, but I wasn't too concerned about name brands and such.

AudioPipe 12" in a standard box
Xplod 600W Mono
Pioneer 4-channel 800W
Xplod speakers (not the Walmart ones)

This is all I could find. We had just finished the install. Hadn't even put the carpet and seats back in yet. The guys are my Ex who used to do those audio competitions and my Brother who's just a Ninja at everything. I don't really know much about car audio...which you can tell. :coy:

YouTube - My System

That's it. Sounds like thunder. :coy:

Sounds pretty good. I just went out replaced my maf my setup's just a alpine headunit Alpine type E 12" in a ported box with a Rockford Fosgate p punch amp. Hit's harder than my 2 Jl Audio 12" i had in my 240.

Every time I come up with money for a sound system I stop and say "wellll there is that ONE mod I'd like to have to go a bit faster..." and end up doing that all the time LOL.

I have pioneer speakers and thats it - no sub or anything.
It's plenty for me but sometimes I wouldnt mind a nice 10" sub or something.

Im interested in seeing what people do when they are concerned with saving trunk space.

I have a JVC deck, Sony components in the front doors, alpine 3 ways in the rear, a JBL 10" sub in a ported box, and a Precision Power 6x600 amp powering it all.

Only shot I have of it now. It has since been carpeted, battery switched to an Optima Yellow, and my sub is just in a regular box.

Alpine type R 10" in a custom ported box pushing 800 rms. Louder than you ever would need. It's got that nice hard bass that pounds through your chest but also got that low rumble that shakes as well. and its for sale!

i have 2 JL 15" W3's in my trunk, with a JL mono 1000 W amp.
my parents tell me they know when i come in to town it hits so hard.
if you look behind the seat when the bass hits, you can feel the air hit your face.

Ill post some pictures as soon as i take them.

JL Audio Tri Box (3 12'' subs)
JBL 700watt RMS amp
Boston Acustic tweeters on uppper a pillar
300 watt amp for Mids and Highs
SWX 1.5 farad CAP
Pioneer Premier DEH-710BT Head unit

Sounds like most of the people in here have way too much bass going on. My 10" reproduces any level of bass ever necessary over roughly 200 watts. You probably have your bass way to high just to show off your license plate rattling skills.

Kenwood CD/MP3 Sterio
MTX in front and back
Xpload amp and sub in a custom made enclosure (made myself)

I have 2 MTX 12" Subs in a sealed box with a 800 Peak Sony Amp from back in the day. My headunit is a Pioneer DEH-5800MP. Idk why, but my system pounds loud as hell, you cant have an open flame when its thumpin or it will blow it out.

mine's clean bass too, and my set up isnt for rap.
i have mine set for rock style music, gotta love that double bass.

In my talon i have 2 10 inch orion xtr pro subs, the front speakers are focal 165 kf, the rear speakers are focal 165 A1, and for amps i have a 600 watt 4 channel soundstream rubicon and a 1600 watt soundstream rubicon mono amp

I'm thinking about something like this. I'm an avid golfer so I need to save room for my clubs but I'd be afraid of puncturing the sub. I've tossed around the idea molding a fiberglass peice where the little storage section is, not sure what volume it'd be though. This way I could keep my spare tire and room for my clubs.

Sorry to bring back an older thread, but does anyone have pics of their setups in their 1g's? I'm gonna start putting my system in very soon and am looking for some ideas on the box...something that doesn't take up too much room.

I have a couple ideas already, just looking for input.

im actually just startin to work on mine here. I need my trunk space still so im taking out my back seat instead and puttin in a custom fiberglass enclosure. i attached a pic of my gear goin into it.

Wish I had something custom as far as boxes/fiberglass goes.

My setup:
Pioneer Double Din Head Unit (3200DVD)
Two 12" Kenwood Subs
1000 Watt Kenwood Amp
Pioneer Speakers

i am thinking about getting rid of this setup, 2 jlw1 v2 10's with dual soundstream amps/ with a crossover, and a mirror box with custom trunk false bottom.
old speakers

2 12" MDX subs (1800 watts max a piece, 800 watts RMS per sub)
1500 watt old school Rockford Fosgate amp
Some Alpine head unit LOL
Pioneer prem 4 way door speakers
And some tweeters mounted by my rear speakers.

I set mine up where my backseat was. Its temperary until I do my interior but it look decent enough. When I first put them there they were facing the front, but it was a little much so I turned them to the back.
