Sorta new to dsm's. Need some help figuring out a few things.

I have a few problems that I need a little help figuring out.

The engine is pretty much stock other then the balance shafts are removed. The bov is vented ( need to renstall the recirc line, the old one was cracked).

Here is a list of problems I need some help with.

1.The oil pressure gauge is all the way to the right (as in its maxed out)
2.The car will die out after a few minutes when leaving it at idle.
3.The Oil pressure light and check engine light are continuously on unless im at idle.
4.The car hesitates like hell at partial throttle. But does fine at full throttle.
5.Boost wont go past 8 psi. (Confirmed with a boost guage) (Bad wastegate actuator?)


Those are my 5 problems right there. Any help as what to troubleshoot or what to do to alleviate these problems would be greatly appreciated.

Do youre tune up first if you havent, check for boost leaks, and oil pressure switch might need to be replaced.

Well if you are venting I have a question for you. On the intake pipe is the recirculation hole where u put the rubber hose from the bov to the intake blocked off? If it isn't and you block it off say with heat tape you wont have a bad idle or stall. Definately get a recirculating kit asap.

Yeah the hole on the intake pipe where the recirc line goes in was capped off.

I'd have to second the recirc theory, check that hose all the way for cracks and stuff. What is it capped with? Maybe the cap is leaking try pulling it off and just use a film canister see if that makes a difference. Don't trust stock oil pressure gauge, no one I know has an accurate one try an after market one and see what you get. You definatly have a vacum leak or boost leak somewhere, just pressure check all of your stuff.
