1G something wierd? car wouldnt start....

hi i drive a 91 eclipse 2.0 DOHC auto.... i was at my friends house last night i go to start my car and i hear nothing. i open the hood and jiggle the neg. bat. term. to see if the alarm would go off and it did after that my light came on i try to start it again and it all shut off after a while of keep doing that i got the car to start... i think the bat. is gone and the alarm some how after a while give it enough juce to start i dont if im right just want to see what you guys think

Have you've check the alternator/battery? mine did same thing (kind of) when i first bought it and i replaced the alternator belt and it was fixed. Take it to a shop have them test the battery and alternator.

Try pulling the terminals off the battery and cleaning both the post and the terminals. Make sure they are tight when you put them back on.

You can check both the battery and the alternator's basic condition with a voltmeter. The battery when charged should be at least 12.6v. When the car is running the voltage should be between 14.4 and 13.8v if the alternator is doing anything.

I agree with Steve sounds like a loose connection at the battery and checking your battery and alternator definitely won't hurt.
