:cry: iight, was driving, not going FAST, lik 40, i shift into 4th gear, n all of the sudden, the car goes crzy n starts weavin around lik its some maniac goin through lik 3 lanes ( i was in the middle), then the car wouldnt shift out of neutral, so i was lik ****, lucky i wasnt THAT far from home so i pull the car onto the side, n it wont shift into any gears when the motor is on, but if i turn off the car, it shifts fine, so i tried shifting it into first, while it was off, n then starting it, after tryin that, the car jus started jumping around n shaking n felt lik it was throwing up, n it jus COUGHED reaaaaal loud n hard, n jus shut off, so i was lik **** WTF happen, i was scared ****less to drive it home, so me n my friend pushed her back, iduno wtf happen, all i can think of is i shift into reverse instead of 4th that doesnt seem rite, cuz i jus shifted str8 down from 3rd iduno but it scared the livin **** out of me, n i'm stll scared, what u think happened?... please respond


PS dont they have "blocks" so u dont shift into reverse, when driving?
 
anyone? really, wow LOL theres lik always 20 people in here, n everyone own's DSM's, n no one can help?
 
Your interesting use of the English language makes it particularly difficult to ascertain the nature of your complaint. If you could translate into a more popular form it would be most beneficial.

If I understand some of your comments - for example that your car is bucking, shuddering, making nasty noises (?), then one possibility is the ever-present spectre of transfer case failure. Drain the T-case fluid, see if there are any metal chunks within.

Being that its non turbo, I would believe that it isn't the transfer case but maybe a clutch pedal not disengaging correctly which is why you can shift when its off but not when on cause nothing is spinning. I don't know why it would cause you to spin out though. Shouldn't have locked up anyting unless your differential broke, but then you would be able to drive it at all if you can.
 
Ah, apologies - I forget there are DSMs that aren't AWD.

Still, a translation into a more commonly accepted form of English might elicit more useful input.

but what i dont understand is that, why it would just go crazy n lose control while switching to 4th?, is it even possible to switch to reverse while driving? if not, then what else woulud of possibly happened,but even it was possible, how in the world could i of hit reverse, i mean u gotta go to reverse, then throw it right then down, its not like you can throw it in reverse in accedient, iduno, i jus duno :-(, but good news it starts n drives, BUT it drives reallllllly bad, lik when i go to reverse, it starts jumping for no reason, even in first, when i take off, it jumps n crap n feels lik the motor is gonna die, for no reason, out of no where, i'm driven the same n usin the clutch the same, but for some reason it feels real bad, n "jumpy"
 
im 99% sure its your master or slave cylinder.

stick your head under the dash and look at the pedal assembly look for any traces of fluid and make sure all the connection are intact

then check the master cylinder in your engine bay. fluid all that. then go to the slave cylinder.

if they all look good bleed the system and see what happens.

How do i check my master, and slave cylinders?

N i just checked for any leaks... I have none :thumbdown :-\

but if wasnt to hard could you explain what to do, when stating to check something?
because i dont know how to check the Master Cylinder, slave, or what not, please help :-\
 
ok start by going to here and then bleed your clutch system. then try it and see it you made any progress or if its still messed up. if you have pressure back in the system then mabey you just ran low on fluid or u have a slow leak somewhere.

persnally if the car has over 100,000 miles on it you dont know if the master or slave has been changed i would just do it anyhow as a previntiave measure.

my car is in the shop... getting a new clutch.... :-( i will check all that when i recieve the car back, on average how long does it usally take to install a new clutch?
