Okay as some people know, I bought my 1g for 500 bucks with the knowledge that it has a couple bent valves.

I have begun tearing it down a little bit here and there, and I am now about to remove the o2 housing (which I'm going to port for jollies) and the turbo which is being replaced by a small 16g. The power steering pump is out of the way, the engine mount unhooked, any plumbing in the way has been moved. I still have to tackle the intake manifold side and a few odds and ends and I should be good to get the head off.

I have several questions here though. What head gasket do you guys recommend? Upon searching some guys say OE is best, some say cometic, and I pretty much know to stay away from any mls and Ebay gaskets.

Also does ARP HEAD STUDS ECLIPSE DSM 4G63 1G 6 BOLT 207-4201 | eBay look legit to you guys? I want to use ARP head studs and bolts I just can't fathom spending $150 on them and $80 on a single head gasket! I do not see myself ever breaking 20psi on this car but I do want the security of knowing the gaskets aren't going to let go on me if I decide to aspire for more than just fun DD status.

Where can I get the best deal on all the things I need? Here's my list
Valve Cover Gasket
Head Gasket
Water Pump Gasket
Turbo Gasket
Exhaust Mani gasket
ARP Head studs / Bolts
Water pump + Gasket
Timing Belt
Belt tensioner

I'm sure there is some other odds and ends things but you get the jist of what I'm asking here.

As far as gaskets, I dont really trust anything other than OEM. Although it may not be the cheapest, its just peace of mind knowing you bought quality gaskets. For a timing kit I would go with extremepsi's kit as monster4g63tawd stated.

I have another question. Do I need to do any other mods before I can use my custom sheet metal intake? Do I need bigger injectors or anything like that?

A set of ARP head studs and OEM composite headgasket will hold 30 psi easy and are not all that expensive. You might as well do all top end gaskets while your at it.

Where can I get the best deal on all the things I need? Here's my list
Valve Cover Gasket OEM Valve Cover Gasket Set-DSM : JNZ Tuning
Head Gasket Mitsubishi OEM Composite Head Gasket-DSM : JNZ Tuning
Turbo Gasket 6CM Turbo Gasket : JNZ Tuning
Exhaust Mani gasket Mitsubishi OEM 4 Layer Exhaust Manifold Gasket : JNZ Tuning
ARP Head studs / Bolts ARP 6 bolt DSM Head Stud Kit : JNZ Tuning
Water pump + Gasket Mitsu OEM Water Pump (1G DSM) : JNZ Tuning
Timing Belt
Belt tensioner Timing Component Kit- 6 Bolt (3/89-4/92) : JNZ Tuning

Extreme PSI, STM, JNZ Tuning, many good vendors. I have never bought anything on eBay because I just don't trust it. Check the supporting vendors list.

I filled in everything for you.

Well I'm back with some questions. I finally got the head off the engine after a long hiatus from working on cars.
My friend is an owner of a local Autozone and hooked me up with parts. I have a modified list for you guys so if there's anything questionable let me know. I've reasearched several threads and most say fel pros are good. Gaskets.

Fel pro complete gasket set
Gates Powergrip Timing set
Reman Water Pump with lifetime warranty
Fel pro Turbo gasket
Fel pro head bolts
Melling Standard intake valves x 8
Microgard Fuel filter(wasn't on original list but since I don't know when it was changed last it seemed like 10 bucks well spent)

Does this look good? I got a smokin' deal on it all. Also sorry my grammar is not as good as it could be. I'm on a smart phone that is being a pain in the butt.
