I just installed the HRC Stage II w/ sidemount intercooler this past weekend. I plan on getting pictures up soon, but I had a few questions that some of you may be able to help me with.
First off, I left the stage 1 wastegate on the turbo (5 psi) just to play it safe for the time being. So, I installed a C2 boost gauge (elec.) and at idle (rev.) and all throughout first gear it reads about 4-5 psi. But, when I hit second on up, it shoots up to 9-10 psi. Now, it sure doesnt feel like 10 lbs of boost but I was wondering what could be causing this. I called hahn and they said its not the wastegate. They said they have seen people having trouble with their electronic boost gauges reading way to high.
Also, I went to the track last night, and I made 5 passes. The fastest I could get in the 1/4 was 15.368. ( So now I know I am not running 10 lbs of boost for sure) Now, I havent had a chance to make much fuel adjustments, but I think I am running a bit on the rich side. I like to see my time in the mid to high 14's for the 5psi wastegate. I see that a few of you guys have this kit so I was just wondering how fast you guys are runnin.

You are reading 4-5psi at idle? You should have 16-22 of vaccum at idle.... Something is wrong with your gauge or some strange vaccum problem..

sorry, I meant when revving from idle (neutral) Even soo, my vaccum is only about 10 at the most at idle. Should it really be around 15-20? i'm running out of ideas! thanks for the help :thumb:
