i need help, i just installed my new s20g turbo and everything seems okay until i start boosting at about 4-5 lbs. at about 5 lbs it bucks down real hard until i let of the gas.you guys have any ideas?i am also getting some blue smoke in my exhuast? it can't be the turbo cuz it's new.could it be my valve seals?

Well the bogging down is running too rich...WAY to rich if it hits at 4 to 5 psi on a 20G. When does the blue smoke happen, at idle or once you give it some juice and bring the throttle up? If it happens at idle...check your valve guides and seals....if it happens thru the rev range, do a compression test and check out your oil seal rings on the pistons. But a question for you...what kind of boost do you usually run? If its only 4-5 psi then why on gods green earth are you running a ####ing 20G? If 4-5 psi is all you are putting down...then throw that ####ing 20G in the E-bay bin and buy yourself a T-20 or T-25. Those turbos will MORE than handle 4-5 psi and you'll hit full spool by 2 grand. :dsm:

the s16g had some bad seal so i had to do a rebuild..so i called hrc and talked them and decided to get s20g for a lil more, they said my car should be fine with my current setup for about 7-8 pounds. i have stock injectors,so you think it might be to much fuel? i do have both the hrc inline and walbro intank fuel pump? why? just scared that the car will not get enough fuel under boost. also the blue smoke seems to blow out at idel..its not the turbo cuz it new.. must be the valve seal..how much do u think to get it fixed?

Does it feel like you hit a wall ? LOL .. if it does then you may have hit fuel cut or maybe even detonation . And running 4-5 psi only on a 20g is classified as overkill :thumb: . And stock injectors on a 20g running een 5 psi might be able to produce fuel cut . Get some fuel mods .. ex. injectors ,255 warlboro , and a safc to tune .

i do have both the hrc inline and walbro intank fuel pump? why?

WHY is exactly right.... :|, why would you be running TWO fuel pumps on a car that is running 8 pounds of boost? The stock GS-T/X's run a single in-tank pump that does not flow as much as the Walbro you stated you have and those stock pumps are good until 15psi on the 14B/T-25. You also said you are running stock injectors... :| . Tell me you at least have an AFPR? If you are running the stock NT FPR with stock injectors on TWO high-flow fuel pumps then you are probably running at a base pressure of 8 million PSI. OK, OK, a bit of an exaggeration...but I wouldn't be suprised if your base fuel pressure was being overrun by more than double what it should be at (I believe 43-45PSI is BFP on a 2G N\T). So you're probably running upwards of 90PSI of base pressure....that's BASE PRESSURE. I'm suprised your damned fuel rail hasn't shot off the block yet. :thumbdown So anyways if that's the case then you're injectors are being overrun like crazy and are probably squirting even when they shouldn't be. You aren't running rich...you're running ####ing wealthy . :(

also the blue smoke seems to blow out at idel

This is a valve seal/guide problem. But you can check for sure by doing a simple compression test. IF compression is low on any cyclinder just do the wet test...there's a guide on how to do it at the VFAQ, it takes about 15 mins worth of time and a compression gauge. Anyone that cannot perform a compression check should not be driving a turbocharged lawnmower...let alone car..but thats just my opinion ;) . If it's a vavle seal problem the seals themselves aren't that expensive, but I'm guessing you are gonna have to have a shop do the work for you and THAT is expensive.

Lastly....I would tell Hahn to blow it out there ass the next time they try to sell you a 20G with the intent of running 8 pounds of boost for christs sake. You aren't even gonna spool that damn turbo till 4 grand or later and you are running less boost than a factory turbo model is rated at, STOCK. I would take that barely driven 20G...sell on it E-Bay, make some bucks, and buy a T-25. You'll be much happier with the performance. You would have to either purchase or fabricate adaptors for the exhaust mani and the o2 housing but I think it would be worth it. :dsm:
