i have never done anything like this before... i understand that i put the tester on the inlet of the turbo and pump it with pressure...

i read somewhere that mbc will leak and are supposed to?? is that true? and if so how do i find other leaks?

will this help find vaccum leaks?

do i need to hold the throttle open?

i plan on using soapy water and a pc. of hose for finding leaks...

any other tips?

thanks

Well just think of it this way, if you adjust it with with ISC plugged in what is it going to do? The ISC is cosntantly sending signals to the ECU on your idle. Always fluctuating. You adjust it with it in, it is only going to recognize that the idle is being affected and compensate for it.

ok also somwhere in the vfaqs i saw that yo can adjst the biss by unplugging the isc and adjsting it to 800 and then plg it back in and reset? does this work? seems mch easier than all the scan tool/ diagnostic port crap

I had to read that 3 times before I could understand it. PLEASE use proper grammar if you want help...most people will see that post and just ignore it.

The BISS adjustment is pretty straightforward. Just follow the instructions in the FSM or on the VFAQ page.

sorry about the bad grammar... my U key doesnt like to work and sometimes i forget to hit it hard enough...

i type in biss in the searchbar for vfaqs and come up with nothing... the only things i have seen tell me i need a scan tool and need to grond the diagnostic port... i dont have 3 grand to drop on a scan tool

I had a little one gallon compressor for a while and it will work. By the time you pressurize the system you"ll have about 2 minutes to search for leaks before you have to stop and refill it. It will get the job done though. Back in January my wife bought me a 33 Gallon Craftsman air compressor :hellyeah: so now I can check for leaks as long as I want and the needle won't even have budged, LOL.
