Just move in and out RAPIDLY and you will get a good cross hatch. Your work is to be admired!! So admire it!!! :thumb:

I think this will do.

I think that will work. I have a fresh block for reference and know I have to really move in and out fast to get the hatch I like.
I really like these hones and have one for Chevys and one for Mitsu stuff. They leave a really nice pattern and seal up almost instantly.
Your pattern is crossing at a reasonable degree and should work out fine! :thumb:

They make flex hones for the 212's, but I decided to save a little money on the hone since I'm dropping a TON of money on these new parts... Thanks for following along Marty!

Oh I no it isn't cheap after Trevor told me what he spent.......woooaaaa.....:thumb:

I got the head de-carbonized... I also resurfaced it and started on the port work. I've stool got to port the intake side. Then it's down to polishing everything and putting it back together. Then it's time to go full send and see what this "Chinese" engine can do.

Anxious eyes are watching! Did you go with a billet flywheel too Sol? Trevor thought it was necessary because the original can "come apart"??? That would be dangerous so I see why he bought one and he said it has a built in 8* advance or something like that. I am watching you and my son and just smiling. If I saw something odd, I would bring it up but you are doing a fine job!

Yea I bought the PVL flywheel, which is rated at 17,000 rpm. It also has a timing advance.

Here's why you don't want to keep the stock flywheel:

OMGOMGOMG

I spent a long while getting the garage setup right. Now I like it, everything is right where I need it and organized (to build small engines). 8 million screws and some heaving later... I've got 2 surfaces to build these engines on, drawers for tool and part organization, racks on the walls.

I feel like such a kid...

Be a kid as long as you can!!! And have FUN!!!!!
Getting fancy now aren't ya!!! :thumb:

I removed that wonky oil sensor and bolted the hole closed. Also got bored and organized my bolts n stuff. They're taking forever to deliver my parts so everyday I'm just picking around and finding stuff to do.

Did you find leftover metal particles hanging out in that area in your motor like we found in ours?
That red looks really nice!!!

Yea there was a little glitter in the oil, but nothing you wouldn't expect for a high revving engine.

Earlier I was able to separate the governor gear from the crankshaft. I also hammered out the pin for the governor gear and got the hole closed with a 1/4" bolt. Forgot to post it but I got the crankshaft shaved a couple days ago. And the parts finally shipped today!!!

I got a "sneak peak" of "Project X". You are gonna have some fun buddy!!!

After all the work and time, I'm selling the Murray. I should be able to get arpund $300 for it without the engine. I'm keeping the engine, it's too good to sell it.

Gonna make a couple last videos with it, and then let it go to move onto the next project.
