Where's the best place I can get dsm stuff in SoCal. I don't see as much aftermarket support out there for 1Gs as say for hondas or 240sx's and I'd like to know someplace close to LA or OC.

Thanks. I know it might sound like a bunch of bs cause Cali has a lot more tuner shops than the midwest and all but there are a lot of ricers here too. I mean a lot

What have you heard about turbo performance? Are they any good cause their prices are pretty nice

OK let me tell you MY experience with RRE i called them for my belts to get changed. They told me to Email Tony and it will take 2 days to respond so i did (got his email from the site). FOUR DAYS later no respond so i called them agian. This time they person on the told me that it would another week for respond on top of the 3 week waiting list to get an appoinment. This was about 2 weeks ago and i still havent recieved a respond. They are VERY unprofessional and i guess all there all there success has gone to their head and they will only bother with you if you drop a couple a G's in there face like Narvaez and Gary did (the 2 DSM from this year SCC ultimate street car thing). They are very unrelible you can even ask ppl at SoCal DSM they will agree. If your not "in" with RRE you will never get anything done from them. The thing i would rely them to do is MAJOR work like Transmission work becasue DSM trannies are very sensitive maybe engine work but they are alot of engine shops out here and DSM engines can take a good amount of abuse

Unless things have changed in the past year or so, this is not true-- I was in SoCal DSM before I moved to FL last year. I'm not saying you didn't have a bad experience with them however-- and I'm sorry that you did. But there must be a reason they're so busy, and I don't think it's because they're unreliable.

I have yet to BUY a dsm. I am still looking for a dsm made from 1992-1994 for less than 4000 and less than 170k, but I need a place to get an affordable engine rebuild with Arias or Wiseco pistons and of course, turbo components.

Its either this or i buy a completely new stock car for 10000 with no money for mods. This is the Scion, Aveo, Echo territory I wanna avoid here (though I hear the Honda City is coming out). I didn't wanna admit this but this is my first car and it was either this or a completely street illegal 240sx (all cheaper and more powerful than a Honda City).

NEways what are the cost estimates to get a 10 year old car up to date with new pistons, Big 16G, injectors, intercooler, boost control, sparkplugs, belt, cams sprokets, and intake/exhaust. Wanna get a cheap car with mods < $4500 and 300+hp
