Owned. Arash15--Your turbo is LOUD! You were just driving away and it sounded like one of those turbo diesel trucks but 2x louder and more of a whine sound. Sounded awesome. Also, for those of you who say it wasn't disorganized, you havent been to another SoCal meet. We've had some GREAT meets. Not to say this one wasn't great, but the January 05 one was better IMO. Rob passed out maps of the route and everything.

Headlight cleaning? You should've ask at the meet. (not my car)

Try using liquid metal polish (not scratch type) then go with liquid plastic cleaner. I usually wipe the dirst off before starting. This stuff should be in the 'newb' section anyways.


As for the SOW rental. That is pretty high. My friend gave me a wrong price for a weekday, which was a lot less than that. At the prices BHOP gave for a weekday. It would be $50 per person plus entrance fee if 50 cars guaranteed to show-up with a no refund 3 days before the event. A weekday event would be half that.

Maybe we should ask some other oranization who has open-track days and join-in. Wasn't their a DSM meet like that couple years back? I saw a vid and it was 1G/2G/3G all on the track, with ride-a-longs for people who couldn't drive their cars.

There's a group called Open Track Racing (www.otr.com or www.opentrackracing.com) that does that kind of event, but they're $150 per person and they ususally run the big track...obviously, would be better to do the $50 on a weekday, but doesn't hurt to have options.

OTR only has the big track scheduled until 2007. Also it's $50 per person plus entry fee, which would be at least $200 probably more... The next Evo track day supposedly will be around Memorial Day (end of May), I'll post the date and info when I get it in a new thread in the SoCal forum.

EDIT: Speaking of the devil, SRT Motorsports just released their Streets of Willow / Horse Thief Mile schedule! HTM is suicide from what I hear, it replicates a canyon road with all the dangers...plenty of places to launch your car quite high into the air...I think I'll pass. I'll be going to Streets on the 21st, maybe the May 12th one too, and the July 7th...hell, all of them except June 3 (Mom's birthday). Maybe for her birthday I'll take her to the track and she can drive her car on it

my friend is crazy though, squezzzzzzing 75 shots and reving 8500 rpm on all stock internals...honda mechanic guaranteed that engine is bullet proof...he is planning on going with a t3/t4 custom kit. i think my big 16 g will still beat him after all its only a honda...we go out every thurs, fri, and sat street racing out off the 110 and 91. its pretty fun...
