Beautiful shot I just got from a former neighbor who now lives near Tucson AZ.
A few years ago, the oil pump in this engine started coming apart and the oil pressure started dropping. He had a pair of aftermarket (not Garrett) ball-bearing turbos on it and no filter in the oil lines to them. The turbos started rattling - chewed up bearings in them. The rest of the engine didn't look bad inside and it was still running ok when he took it out of the car.
Anyway he's got the engine rebuilt with expensive internals now and is getting ready to put it back in, with all different external stuff, and he has switched to a plain bearing Greddy turbo.
