Ok so for the big turbo guys, what are yall doing about fitment of the turbo and radiator? Im having issues with the turbo not hitting the block and then the manifold coming out to far and getting close to the radiator outlet. I have included a shitty picture of half the manifold showing it's relation to the radiator outlet.

Is it possible to run a smaller core radiator? Im sure this will kill me when it get really hot outside. Im running slim fans so im thinking about mounting one on the front and back (push/pull) hoping that might help.

or

Do you think it would be possible to get a fluidyne radiator, and just move the outlet more towards the passenger side of the car? After that, just run a custom hose to the thermostat housing? Would that affect anything?

Im open to any ideas. If i tilt the manifold tubes more towards the head it's going to be a PITA to put the nuts on the studs, and also it will position the turbo more towards the radiator...which i dont want.

would it be possible for a radiator shop to just move your existing inlet over some?

On a 1G radiator the inlet is towards the passager side of the radiator. The stock radiator has plastic endtanks, but there is a replacement radiator that has metal endtanks. They are the better of the two for stock replacement.

Like I said you can get one of these or get a Fluidyne for a 1G and the inlet will be more offset.

Hey guys thanks for the good replies.... id like to go with an aluminum radiator, but we'll see, money is an issue and 1g radiators are a dime a dozen in this area. :thumb:

I guess ill take a look at a 1g tomorrow and see exactly how theirs are setup. I know it's nothing i can't handle. Ill take some measurements and see how much the offset will be. Or if someone on here wants to take the measurements for me that would be good as well. I might just look for a 1g fluidyne like someone recommended in this thread.

Thanks again everyone

could someone give me the underside measurements of a radiator? Where the "knobs" slide into the slots?

From looking at pictures it looks as if a 1g core wouldnt be too bad to fit into a 2g, check it out..... they seem to almost mount in the same way, just use different style holders.... I need to get exact dimensions though
