sludge with metal shavings?

so i just change my oil after putting a new turbo and cams on it and notice the my magnetic drain plug had sludge on it and really really fine metal shavings on it??? could it be from installing my cams on the car? there seems to be no lost in power, but i am hearing a ticking or knocking nosie at certain rpms. but as soon as you start to get on it the noise starts to go away. could i have a bad or collapsed lifter?
any postive help would be awesome. thanks!
p.s. it a 2g with a 1g motor swap and no bs

Cams will often create shavings as they seat, but to be safe, I would pull the pan and check for brass shavings in the pan which would indicate a spun rod bearing. Also, at what RPM does your noise start? Can you re-create it out of gear or is it only under load? It's very possible you have a collapsed lifter and you can check by pulling the valve cover and seeing if you can depress any lifters with your finger. Sometimes, installing a higher lift cam will make a lifter issue more apparent and that may be what's happening here.

a little metallic sludge is normal. post a pic of the plug with the sludge.

im going to take the valve cover off later after i get out of work and hopefully that the problem!!!! i was going to see if they can get bleed again?
