DSMTuners is internationally the biggest DSM site. Being so, you have the responsibility to show the users of this site the truth. You can't let people think that a bad vendor is good, if I came on here and only heard good things about a company, then I would order from them, I would never know the many times that company ripped countless people off. Its not right.

I'm not the admin or a mod of this site, but if I were, I would either allow both experiences, good and bad, so as long as the posts were tactful.... or not allow any at all.

From my own experience, I dealt with a company, who did good buisness locally, but anything that needed to be shipped, they just pushed them to the side. I never got the info about that, and it took me 9 months and a lawyer to get what I ordered from them. However the craftmenship was execellent. So people local to that shop would post that thier products are awesome and cheap and build time was fast, while all the posts that said they had to sue that company, after close to a year, were all being deleted. So more people order from them and get screwed.

See my point.... It can't be just good things, its gotta be both or none.

**edit** The above experience was NOT Slow Boy Racing. I will not name the vendor, that did this to me,

This is getting old. I've said this over and over - allowing people to post negative remarks about a vendor attracts flamewars, exaggerations, and helps spread rumors. The argument that allowing only good feedback can be harmful is pretty weak in my opinion. But if this is going to continue to be an issue, we will just disallow all vendor feedback.

I've added a field in your profiles that asks for your Recommended DSM Shop/Vendor. Now you can recommend the vendor who you think people will have the best experience with in your profile without having to say anything in the forums. I'll make this field searchable so that people will not have to ask about vendors in the forums. They can simply do a search of how many people recommend that vendor in their profile. This should achieve what I've been trying to do in the beginning.

I've said this before, and I'll say it again... if someone would build a website which focuses solely on discussing, rating and reviewing DSM vendors, we'd be happy to link to it.

Chris,

Could you by chance err just have polls for them on which one people buy from and like and put it as a sticky for people's easy refference. Instead of Negative remarks they should be allowed to atleast type out positive remarks for the company they dealth with so many times.

Yeah but a poll thing would be cool... ofcourse I guess it would differ from parts they use, i.e. Turbos, I/C piping & Intakes ect ect.

Sorry man, I thought allowing positive feedback was more helpful too, but others keep complaining that the positive without the negative just skews things. So we'll just disallow all of it. Like I said, you can now list your most recommended shop/vendor in your profile. That's the only form of vendor feedback we'll allow now. We will not post any polls, or allow any vendor feedback discussions in our forums. If someone wants to start a vendor discussion site, we'll link to it. It's too much trouble and headache for us, so we're not allowing it.

We'll try and make the Recommended Vendor data sortable in the future. Here's the announcement on the new vendor feedback policy:
http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/announcement.php?s=&forumid=8

Anyone who wants to discuss it can email me and I'll discuss it with them offline.
