I have a chance to buy a low mileage engine. The seller says it has cams from a sIowboy stage 2 head package but has no specs on them. Wanted to know if anyone might have some insight on what cams they are. I tried searching but has no luck thanks

If the seller is serious about selling the engine you can request that he pull the valve cover and turn the engine over by hand so that you can get the markings etched onto the cams, if they're aftermarket they will an engraving, usually in the "flat" section of the camshaft. Get the numbers and basically just search this site for those casting numbers, hundreds of other people have asked the same question so the information is out there. do not confuse that with the etching that comes on every single factory camshaft.

And enriquez is right, most head packages do not include camshafts unless otherwise denoted. a"stage 2 head" could just mean they cleaned it up, did a port and polish and have some good valvesprings in there so it'll support whatever cam you plan on running.

SBR redid a lot of dsm cylinder heads back when they were in business, but I doubt they made any regrinds/had a manufacturer make cams for them to package and sell. It is more than likely that whatever the guy requested is installed in the head (who originally had the work done). So essentially.... could be anything.
