i just put a FMIC on my car this week and headed to the track last night ... i ran a horrible 14.9,14.9 and a 14.8 ... i was just running on pump gas at 20psi on my old 14b, the first run it pulled good until i gave it 4th and as soon as i did it felt like i lost all pull.. when i looked at the log .. i had 23-25 deg. of timming advance with no knock in third gear and ass son as i shifted timing dropped to like 10 with 40 counts of knock!!!!! i turned down the boost and ran again with a slightly faster time but found 10 counts of knock above 4000 rpm... third run i i cleaned up all the knock but only had 17-20 deg. of advance..... i ran a 14.2 with all stock intercooler componets, now i have a spearco 210 street core from diamond start motorsport, and vpe 2.5" intercooler pipes with a greddy type s.... do i maybe have a boost leak some where .. even though it holds 20psi the whole time... do i need to adjust the BOV.. i'm not really sure what the adjustment on the type s is for... timming maybe.. i dunno guys i'm stumped .. well way angry with my time yesterday i should have been in the 13's but....... any ideas ...
