Slipping in 1st, 2nd and some of 3rd

I read a few posts on here but they was old and I didnt really see a solution, Was just wondering if anyone ever figured out what the deal was.. I thought it was my clutch but the high gears run just fine?

1st gear will move but hardly any, 2nd gear is about the same, 3rd gear it slips til the speed catches up with the rpms, (about 4000) and then it throws me back in my seat again.. 4gear and 5th gear are just fine.. I saw some people had this problem but did you ever find a solution? is it the clutch? or something else..

I just had a shepard racing trans brand new transmission stage 2 install and the clutch is a stage 3 clutchmasters ( was on car when i got it) tranny has 4k miles and clutch maybe 10-15k miles

If it's slipping and not grinding or clunking, it's likely the clutch. Either it's assembled wrong or it's burned out. Pretty much all that it can be. Axle splines can cause a like problem, but once they slip that's it. Wrecker time.

Take a very close look at your clutch.
