I just got my car back on the road after 14b install. I have the wastegate actuator teed into the BOV line, no MBC just spring boost pressure. I do not have a nipple on my JPIPE.

When in first "car is auto" the car boosts to 10psi, when the car shifts into second it goes to 17.5 psi. When cruising, if I stomp on the gas, the car boosts to 17.5 psi.

I took the arm off the wastegate flapper and made sure it wasn't stuck. I pulled on the wastegate actuator arm, and it moves with some force.

From what I am reading, this does not look like boost creep.

Anyone have this issue before and resolved it.

Thanks in advance :thumb:

Update:

I worked on it tonight at about 10pm, it started snowing, and it was pretty cold... gotta love michigan!

Anyways, I got some new T bolt clamps to put on where the lower and upper intercooler pipe connect. I had to take out the intake for that, so I pulled the vacuum line off the wastegate. I brought it in and compared it to the old one. The old vacuum line hole is smaller then the one I had. I talked to my buddy Matt earlier " who has the sweetest 2gnt in the state" his car is on the main page of 2gnt.com Said he had the same problem when installing a MBC on his Evo 9. He said that he used a different size vacuum and that was the problem.

Well it started to really snowing, so after I changed the line I couldn't test it out.

I will probably run the car tomorrow. Thanks!!

Yup. Well I dont know if its creeping or just oncontrolled boost. I tried a different vacuum line, and that didn't change anything.

I just ordered a wastegate actuator for $20 shipped, so I'm going to try that next. If that doesn't work, I guess I will have to do some porting.

Sorry for the late response, I've had the flu all week. I should have the new actuator installed by Tuesday. I'll update it then.

Thanks

I have been reading about porting, and it does not seem to hard.

I'm actually ordering some 550s and a 190 Walbro, so I'm going to see if I can just tune for higher boost, I have a SAFC already. If not then I will be porting, I probably wont put the larger flapper in, I'll buy a bigger turbo by summer I'm sure.

I will update on how I resolved this issue, thanks everyone who helped!!!!
