shifting problem in 2nd and 3rd

Okay so early in the morning my car will grind while shifting into second and also at high speeds. Also sometimes it will feel like I hit a wall while shifting into 3rd meaning, I have to back it up and try to put it in gear a second time. Please help me out on this one, i hope its not my syncro.

P.s - This is a 92' Eagle Talon TSi AWD

Uh oh.... Somebody needs a new tranny... Sorry to tell you friend but its true, your syncro's are going... Look at the brightside at least you get a new tranny that will shift great once its done!!!

Make sure you have fluid in the tranny.

But I also heard that syncro's rarely grind, or make a grinding noise? i changed my gear oil to 75 90 full synthetic i think. But what is this syncromesh stuff i hear about?

I'm in the same boat as you. My car only when cold, will "sometimes" grind from first to second. I find it shifts better when I hit boost.

Well, a friend of mine who knows dsm's well I explained my symptoms and my car has been griding and sometimes popping out of first gear.. He said my tranny is pretty much going...
