Ok so just a couple days ago i was down shifting coming up to a red light and when i shifted down into 2nd it grinded just the slightest bit when going in, and has been doing since then on and off.. its only in second gear and sometimes itll grind, and other times it will go into gear smooth? Just replaced both master and slave cylinders a few months ago and the fluid in both of them is right where it should be.

Any ideas on why it could be happening? I just dont want to wear out a syncro or anything if it keeps doing it. I think possibly the clutch needs adjusted out a little bit?

sounds like the 2nd gear syncro is worn. all 3 manual DSMs ive had were like that. How many miles does the trans have on it?

The car has 55k on it so im guessing 55k but the car is a little beat for 55k i dont know if i believe the milage so it could really be anything, but iive had the car for a few months after i changed the master and slave and its shifted fine thats why idk if its the syncro is worn i never miss 2nd EVER i dont see why it would just do it once in a while its smooth as butter sometimes and others just doesnt feel right

Make sure your trans is full and that it has the correct GL-4 gear oil in it, bleed your clutch again just to be sure. Syncros wear a little every time you shift so they are going to wear out eventually. Second is usually the first to go.

Also make sure your Shifter cable bushings are either in good shape or swap them out for better ones. they are rubber and go to crap with age. and while your at it make sure the rubber mounts on the bottom of the shifter plate in the console are good too.

Change the tranny fluid and see if it helps it costed me 75 bucks to do and helped on my first talon!
