Size of turbo!

I was told that the Eagle Talon TSI 93' has a smaller sized turbo in it because it is an automatic transmission. Is there any truth to a manual stick, having a larger turbo???

The 1g automatics do have a smaller turbo and injectors. I also think they have a different exhaust manifold but I'm not sure about that one.

yes. they have a smaller turbo. While this is only true for 90-94 DSMs. All of the turbo models that were automatic in those years came with a mitsubishi 13g turbo, while stickshifts came with 14b mitsubishi turbocharger. In 95-99 all of the turbo DSMs came with the same crappy garrett t-25, which is similar in size to the 13g.

Yes, that is the truth.

There is actually a kit to buy to even get any turbo bigger than the 13g (click this for more info)to fit. It has different manifold, injectors, coolant lines that are smaller or in a different configuration than the 14b.
